ORACLE DELPHI MKII.7 w/ Double Subchassis - Serial Number DG1286-2612
Suspension frequency is 3.5 Hz (tuneable) - the additional mass on Subchassis evens the mass and makes fine tuning much easier. Present spring combination fits most tonearms.
All metal parts, with the exception of the Bearing and the Spindle as well as the suspension adjustment ass´y - the Towers - and the Clamp and the Feet, are machined from an aerospace grade magnesium-aluminium alloy and treated with a durable, satin finish.
Gold plated parts are made of brass, therefore this model is heavier than a regular DELPHI. Also the lower part of Subchassis is magnesium-aluminium alloy, taken from another DELPHI. Sheet of damping material is between these 2 layers, see pics carefully.
The Tweaks: additional DIY Longer Spindle + DIY Maglev Platter/Bearing/Spindle w/ opposing neodymium ring magnets - these both tweaks can be removed easily. The high quality ring magnets are R40x30x02 Ni-N35 from HKCM Engineering, Germany.

PLEASE NOTE: the ORACLE logo light does not work, see pic 8. THE DUST COVER is MISSING. NO original box. PLEASE NOTE: A minor issue: The left rear housing on subchassis, the ring for spring ass´y is very tight due to slight oval shape (see pic 12), therefore it is not recommended to remove this brass spring ass´y from the subchassis when fine tuning the suspension/changing spring because putting back would not be easy - just leave it there. Otherwise in original condition.
The present spring combination fits perfectly a 800 gram tonearm and extra mass of 1,900 grams on platter. Due to extra mass of subchassis this spring combination fits most settings.
The Record Clamp has one small dent on edge see pic 9. Some small imperfections on acrylic and metal surfaces (hairlines, tiniest marks) but nothing serious, see all pics carefully. These imperfections do not affect on function.
THIS IS FOR ORACLE LOVERS ONLY. This is a heavily modded DELPHI w/ Double Subchassis + DIY Maglev Spindle which works perfectly and seriously improves sound quality. These modifications/tweaks are done by me.
PLEASE NOTE: the Maglev Spindle improves sound quality because the opposing neodymium ring magnets raise the Spindle tip from the Trust Plate, this eliminates spindle friction. The additional DIY Longer Spindle (threaded) allows using/experimenting thicker mats on/under GROOVE ISOLATOR.
Still, IMHO GROOVE ISOLATOR works best with all kinds of cartridges, MM, MI, IM and MC cartridges. This is the original ORACLE "sorbothane" like soft mat and gives better sound quality than any other hard mats I have tried, Delphi MKIV in particular.

PLEASE NOTE: These tweaks can be removed easily if you may prefer the original ORACLE sound. Simply remove the Ferrous Pot for the lower ring magnet as seen in pics 13 and 14 as it´s lightly glued on bearing ass´y adjustment bolt heads (pic 13) and also remove the opposing Ferrous Pot for upper ring magnet around the Spindle as seen in pic 14 as it´s hold on place lightly with tape, no better attachment is needed because of the very strong repulsion that makes the field between the magnets very even under the rotating Platter. The gap between the opposing ring magnets is app. 2 mm, carefully look at pic 10 and my Drop Box videos linked.
However, I must point out that magnetically levitated Platter does give better sound quality, it´s more powerful and more detailed in macro and micro dynamics. The secret is the very dense magnetic field between the magnets. Neodymium ring magnets provide strong magnetic repulsion and this makes the magnetic field very dense and very even under the Platter and thus enables a very steady pressure (field) between the opposing magnets, there is absolutely no wobble in rotation of the Platter to reduce micro and macro details in sound quality IME. Additionally, the magnetic levitation eliminates spindle wear and thrust pad wear. The Bearing only needs full synthetic oil to operate without issues for many years without maintenance.
These ring magnets are powerful enough for experimenting very heavy metal mats on the Platter and under GROOVE ISOLATOR. Extra mass makes the magnetic field denser and improves sound quality even more. These magnets allow an extra weight of 2.2 kilos on the original Platter.
CAUTION: neodymium magnets are very powerful so take great care when handling them !!
This is a very serious up-grade for classic vintage turntable and for experienced audiophiles and ORACLE enthusiasts only.
In my experience during decades this ORACLE DELPHI outperforms Goldmund Studio, Oracle Delphi Mk IV and Luxman PD444. This is a very musical turntable.
