Equipment, Grace Supex 900 stylus, Lentek pre-amp and Audio-Technica safety raiser. Extras, Lenco and Groovemaster brush cleaners. New belt and springs just fitted. Special Features I am 1st owner for 30 years from new, little use, combined with a Lentek Moving Coil Cartridge Pre-Amplifier often said to be the best head amp ever. An excellent piece of kit which cost a small fortune new. I recall some reviewers using these in preference to anything else back in the day. The 'Lentek Stereo Integrated Amplifier' was & remains an extremely versatile Audiophile Unit, with amazing build quality. This Amplifier is Sonically Superb, with plenty of effortless Power. Where this Amplifier really excels though, is via its Excellent Dual Phono Stage, which is capable of accommodating virtually any Moving Coil or Moving Magnet Cartridge model. No modifications have been made. It runs on a 9v battery. The LP12 and Amp are in perfect working order but sold as is. It will be professionally double packed ie LP12 in box inside another larger box for safety. The price includes FREE postage to anywhere in the World. Payment by PayPal or Bank Transfer. I will refund only for a D.O.A. Purchaser pays 25% of the return fee for return shipping and insurance after an authorized Linn dealer review. Please email me for more detailed photographs. Thanks. The Linn LP12 turntable is probably the longest-lived and most iconic Hi-Fi product ever made. It was the product that changed people’s perceptions of what actually produces good music! Production started way back in 1973 and the LP12 very quickly established a reputation for excellent sound quality, in no small part to the considerable efforts at that time of the LP12’s designer and the founder of Linn Products, Ivor Tiefenbrun MBE. Ivor was able to demonstrate that the turntable was the most important part of a record playing Hi-Fi system. Not the speakers or the amplifier, not even the arm and cartridge, but the deck itself. Nearly 40 years after the LP12 was first introduced, it remains an industry standard; a reference for other turntables to be judged against. With well over 100,000 LP12’s produced during this time, it is with some justification that one can say the LP12 defined the quality standard for Hi-Fi replay for a generation of music enthusiasts. If you stop and think about why the LP12 turntable continues to be so immensely popular to this day, the answer is really very simple indeed: sound quality and upgradability. Linn have invested a great deal of time, effort and money into improving all aspects of the LP12’s design. Linn have also looked after existing LP12 owners by making almost all the upgrades retrofittable, thus making it possible to upgrade an older LP12 to current specification and, most importantly, current performance. Hi-Fi Choice reviewers voted the LP12 "the most important hi-fi component ever sold in the UK" and The Absolute Sound ranked it the second most significant turntable of all time in 2011. Sondek stamped its place in history with a ‘special’ sound signature. It was sharp and lively, more agile and, as Linn-founder Ivor Tiefenbrun would say, more ‘foot-tapping’ and ‘musical’ than the other contenders.
